Our cakes

All our cakes are free of gluten, soy, and nuts.

You’ll need a little over an hour to bake and frost your cake. We recommend completing your baking and frosting the day before you do your decorating. Don’t refrigerate your cake—you can store it overnight under an overturned bowl to keep it safe before decorating.

Give yourself 2-3 hours for decorating your cake with fondant. You may work faster, but if it’s your first time working with fondant you’ll want to give yourself plenty of time become familiar with it.



The fondant seals the cake well and keeps it fresh for 3-4 days. You can store your finished cake in a cool and dry place under an overturned bowl or in the delivery box for up to a few days. A cool room means 72 degrees or less—any warmer and the fondant may melt.

We designed our kits with beginners in mind. Our step by step instructions will guide you through the process to ensure that you succeed. All of our cake kits have been thoroughly tested by novice bakers.

You will need 4 eggs, 2 sticks butter, 3 cups sugar, 8 oz (1 package) cream cheese , 2/3rd cup vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.

We recommend having on hand a set of bowls, measuring cups, and an electric mixer. (You can get by with a hand whisk, but an electric mixer will make things easier!)

At Cakest we only use the best possible ingredients and we ensure that all our products have a shelf life of at least 12 months from the day we send out a kit. The ingredients are shelf stable at room temperature (72 degrees F).  Please be sure to keep your kit ingredients in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated place away from direct sunlight. And don’t ever refrigerate fondant!


Our cake kits are designed for adults. However, children can help with close adult supervision. Older children (ages 7 and up) can be especially helpful with decorating.

Choose a cake design for your friend or relative. At checkout, provide the recipient’s shipping and e-mail addresses and we’ll then notify them that their package is on its way.

Yes, our disposable cake pans have been designed and tested to be completely safe up to 450° F.

Yes, you need to grease your cake pans. Rub a thin layer of butter on the pans by hand or with a paper towel.

Your order will be shipped 1-2 business days after your order is placed. We will send you an initial e-mail confirming that your order has been received.  We will send you a second e-mail once your order has shipped, which will include tracking information. Once your order has shipped, you should receive it within 2-6 business days, depending on your location.



Unfortunately, no. Because of our quick, 1-2 day shipping process, production starts as soon as your order is paid for. Please check over your order carefully in the shopping cart before clicking ‘Place Order.’
